LINK PEOPLE WITH THE PLACE

About us

Mid January 2017 the first 20 new buses arrived for Rwanda Interlink Transport Company Limited (RITCO Ltd), the successor to the government company ONATRACOM. RITCO is a joint venture between the Government of Rwanda and the Rwanda Federation of Transport Cooperatives (RFTC). The government holds 52% of the shares and RFTC 48%. 30 more buses were still at the port of Dar es Salaam in January 2017. These first 50 new buses are Higer from China and adapted for upcountry use with extra luggage space. As the usual  Toyota Hiace on these routes can carry very little luggage the buses respond to a directly felt need of rural populations. In April 2016 the government announced that 150 buses had been ordered. Once more buses arrive the company may start working international routes too.
